What happens to your ticker.

The engine is a full three-statement model rebuilt in code from a working Excel model. This is the path a ticker takes through it.

Financials
Five years of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, pulled the moment you enter a ticker. Every computed subtotal is reconciled against the reported figure — mismatches get flagged, not smoothed over.
Assumptions
Revenue growth, cost of goods, SG&A, and capital spending are yours to set for each projected year. The quieter drivers — R&D, depreciation, tax, buybacks — default to four-year historical averages until you override them.
Projection
All three statements are projected together and stay linked. Working capital, PP&E, and depreciation schedules move with your assumptions, and unlevered free cash flow builds up from NOPAT.
Valuation
WACC is assembled from live beta and treasury data, or your own override. The output is a value per share, the full discounting schedule, and sensitivity grids across discount rate and terminal growth.

Who's behind it.

The Retail Analyst started as a working Excel model — the kind you build to actually learn valuation, not to publish. We rebuilt it as a web tool so the whole thing is inspectable: same logic, same checks, no black box.

It's a two-person project between a finance student and a computer science student, and it's still growing.
